Celebrity Deaths

I usually don't mention celebrity deaths on Grumpy Gamer because thousands of people die every second and live much harsher lives than a bunch of whiny celebrities, but I feel compelled to mention the passing of Roy Scheider, who was in the Sorcerer, one of the 100 movies on my top ten favorite movies list. You just can't have a better plot than a bunch of guys transporting a truckload of nitroglycerin across the mountains of South America.

Yes, I can confirm that
Monkey IslLe Salaire de la Peur is one of the best French movies ever -- and one of the most revered, too. Very long but fascinating, with great performance by Yves Montand and Charles Vanel. It's currently ranked #104 at the iMDb Top 250. Actually, I wasn't even aware there was an American remake. Le Salaire de la peur, The Spider Returns, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Flying Disc Man from Mars.
I am a big indy fan, and enjoyed watching many of the indy influence movies (eg gunga din, sierra madre etc) - Sorcerer sounds like another one I might like. Thanks for the tip.
