Vive La France!

Feb 23, 2006 five past seven pm

Because Clayton and I are international jet-setters, we'll be heading to Paris next week for meetings, and if all goes well, we'll have redefined the phrase "Ugly Americans".

I'll probably have some time for a Paris-based Adventure Game meet-up.  I'll need at least 3 people there in order to successfully pull my "I forgot my wallet" bit when it comes time to pay the bill, so Contact me if you're interested.  Hopefully we can get something arranged quickly.  Mostly likely it will need to be on the weekend (best bet), or in the evening on the 6th or 7th.

If you're a Paris based Publisher interested in talking to us about our RPG/Adventure project, drop me a line.  Until then, we'll be in the bar.

As an Englishman who was forced to endure French as a second language at school, I've noted a fault with your translation: Isn't "viva" spanish?

It should be "Vive la France" - better get that vocabulary sorted; the French don't take kindly to foreigners even when one gets the language right !

Exactly! This is the first thing I noticed when seeing that title. It's crazy how many people think "viva" is French. It's "Vive la France", "Vive la revolution", and "Viva la revolución".

Ahh, I hope you'll have a great meeting in France. Paris is a bit too far away for a casual trip from the Netherlands, but of course, we've had our share last year =)

Blast ! I'll be in Toulouse that week-end. And there is no game publisher over there.

dammit, I might be going to Paris next weekend for a completely unrelated reason (alcoholic in nature) , and now I'm going to have to think of an excuse not to meet you (again) to save face in case of having to say 'how have you been?' and other such nonsensical pleasantries, unlike at the london meet up when I said nonsensical things like 'what toothpaste do you use?'

are you going straight back direct from paris to the US?? i could really do with a chat but im in vienna/bratislava till sunday and then flying from there to london on monday morning, dammit if i had seen this sooner i could have got a flight via paris on the sunday, ill be flying straight over the top of it!
