Ron Gilbert, you are a god, your games are so funny.
Bon, un petit mot en franais : merci monsieur Ron Gilbert pour vos Point and Click mythiques des annes 90, ce sont juste des jeux cultes. J'ai ador Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion et Deathspank.
Chapeau Ron.

Looks like a funny great jumpnrun but nothing revolutionary new.
Ok ok, now hand over the game internaly and work with Tim on the DFA!
And just send me the bank account info (don't forget the routing number) of that Doom-guy and I'll just withdraw the correct amount for you!
So youve had much more time to concentrate on DFA!
Big thanks in advance!

I totally trust you. I used to be a point'n'click purist, but after Psychonauts and Stacking I learned that adventure games aren't about pointing and clicking, they're just about plot, narration and adventure itself.
Oh, and some recent point'n'click adventures suck so bad so... bring it on!

You always started a meditation about "What is an Adventure Game?" months ago. Liked that.
So, if you categorize Limbo as an adventure than we definitely have one with The Cave.
Limob was a great experience but no adventure game.
More a brain game jumpnrun (like The Cave? :-) ).
But it looks like huge fun so happy to play it asap!
And besides that Im looking forward to the real next classic DF adventure game - DFA :-)

"Das kniffelige Jump'n'Run wird Anfang 2013 fr Konsolen und PC erscheinen." (source German SEGA YT-channel).
But fine with me if you fooled them for getting the budget ;-)

What are the chances of getting a boxed version for the PC with cover art by Steve Purcell? :)

I figure if some of the indie developers are able to offer up a limited boxed versions of their games, then it wouldn't be out of reach from a larger publisher.

http://indiegames.com/2012/04/locomalitos_games_available_in.html
Anyways, I can only dream. :) If anything, I'll just have to make my own box. I just printed out posters for all the old Lucas Art games... I hope I'm not breaking some law? :O

I follow you since Maniac Mansion on my C64 (o my GOD I was a kid!!!) and I have never lost one of your games. Litterally I grow up with your games.
Monkey duology (1&2) was such a defining experience.
...I still believe that there is one alternative and better reality where people have enjoyed Your TRUE Monkey 3 as well as Star Wars Sequel trilogy... Well, and many other goods and importants things...
Can wait for "The Cave"!!!
Ron, you will have my money, as always!!!

As a huge fan of Monkey Island and Ron's work in general, I was happy to learn about an exhibition about video games in the Smithsonian American Art museum. Sorry if this might have been mentioned by someone else already. In this case I just missed it - then just ignore my post ;)
The exhibition is about video games of the past and present and about their connection to art. There's an article and a short photo series about it in a German online news magazine, and one photo features Monkey Island.
I laughed out loud when I saw the photo of two guys looking at Monkey Island as if it was a painting of Leonardo da Vinci. It seems that video game art is finally getting the attention it deserves.
I'm pretty sure these pictures are somehow copyrighted, so I'm just posting a link to the article and that one specific photo.
