Great comic. I hope you've had a very merry christmas (or equivalent yule time holiday) Ron, glad to see ya back and updating. So... i take it you managed to get a wii, what games are you currently playing? Also what do you think of the inteface?
I have to say im really enjoying playing around with the new controls, but i would love to hear the opinion of a point and click guru on nintendos approach.

I fail to see the humour in this, but then I fail to see much. I just don't watch Star Trek.
About time the site got started again, I promise I won't spam.

I don't watch Star Trek either, but I thought it was funny. Then again, I'm very into the Wii. I love that little machine.

Wii all love the Wii.

I don't watch Star Trek and I'm not interested in Wii. However, Ron transcends such things as my ignorance and disinterest to produce a sort of universal humour.

I just slammed my head on the table and I finally understand this joke. Seriously.
I wonder if they did it because Sony was expecting people to buy the Wii a lot and Nintendo were expecting the same of Sony.
Off to get some aspirin.

Now THAT comment is fanboyism to its extreme...
Other than that... Strange to give us the chance to comment something that really doesn't need much commenting.

I don't think it's particularly fanboyish. In fact I so think it's not fanboyism that I'm not going to bother mounting a defence against your accusations of fanboyism. And if there was such a defence, it clearly wouldn't need correct spelling — correct spelling is a sign of overcompsensation. Seriously.
Did Captain Kirk made sure that his Wii isn't full of Corbomite ?

I "loved" how Sony & Nintendo chose to release a product that many people would want for Christmas in such short supply that most people would be left empty handed. For many of us Christmas is one of the few chances to play with our families. Thanks Ron for putting such silliness in perspective.

I found about 8 Wiis here in Brazil in two stores of the same Mall... It's a damn shame that they cost so expensive for our live standard.

They didn't choose to... both are pumping them out as fast as possible.
At least that's true of Sony. I hate Sony as much as a good part if the internet, but any sane person can look at the PS3 launch and realize that if some of the horrendous mistakes are too colossal and DAMAGING to have been intentional.

Nintendo has a bit of a hard time manufacturing them Wii's, those 8 year old hardware parts are pretty hard to find nowadays :P
Goddammit, the last three panels are the most I've laughed since Monkey Island 2 came out.
Yeah, that's a lie.

Is Grumpy Gamer back?! And we can post again? 'Tis truly a day of days. So, did you get a nice rest from us, Ron? I'm glad to see you spent your vacation wisely with endless marathons of the Original Series.

Sony screwed up, but nintendo didnt. Nintendo apparently shipped 4 million units worldwide. Now put this into context the gamecube only shipped 20 million units worldwide in its entire lifespan!
They obviously just didnt expect it to sell as well as it did.
Sony on the other hand launched with a handful of units due to its insistence of trying to push bluray players onto people and not end up with a new betamax... That and it made it look like people actually wanted one :-)
