Citizen Gilbert,

Your un-American activities have been noted, someone will be coming to your house within the next few minutes to assist you. As you are most likely aware, reciting the constitution and/or other writings, deemed subversive, is a crime against America and will be punished.
Brace yourself for a week at Guantanamo Bay, or a day at Nascar.

I call fake! There are far too many long words in that post to be the real W.

Posted by Ron Gilbert on Jun 26, 2006 ten to ten am

I hear the foods better at Guantanamo.  Not so much fried stuff.

Posted by George W. Bush on Jun 26, 2006 five to ten am

True, but the reception sucks and you can't bring your DS.

They wouldn't want their prisoners to die from a blood clot, while they're torturing them.  Besides they need all the transfats they can get in the States to trim down the population of the poor and uneducated.

You're a weird cat, Mr. Gilbert.

Have you been watching any of those politically engaged documentaries that seem to be a meme these days? Now some of these seem nuanced and subtle, even deligthfully whimsical in contrast to their message. Others, like the one called... (lemme look that up)... "America: Freedom to Fascism" (yeah), seem in their trailer at least completely based on fearmongering. Never mind whether they're true or not; I don't like a film whose sole weapon is frightening me.

This may or may not capture at all what's going on here.

Posted by eloj on Jun 26, 2006 five to one pm

If you don't like the movie, it must totally suck to live in the regime the inspired it.

Posted by Ron Gilbert on Jun 26, 2006 quarter past one pm

I was not aware that the Netherlands was a hotbed of fear mongering.

Ofcourse it is Ron , how else can you explain a whole website devoted to cheese tourism!  http://park.org/Netherlands/pavilions/food_and_markets/cheese/introduction.html

I filmed that play, btw.

I also filmed that opening with the mug on my desk as I was editing it together, err...into seperate downloads, and adding subtitles. I felt the whole thing needed an opening so I grabbed my mug and improvised. I had an earlier version where, at the play, before it started I held up a Wendy's Frosty cup in front of the camera and mentioned that 'tonight's performance is brought to you by Wendy's" but since it wasn't very funny, it ended up on the cutting room floor.

Senor Gilberto, you are a commie and a terrorist. Your whole site smells like treason and you personally instigate unamerican attitudes. You better take a dump in your fancy pants, go out, buy and consume.
And now seriously. We have problems here (Poland) too but we don't aspire to be the beacon of civil freedom.
To sum it up: vote Nader.

I loved this excerpt - "Holly Cow! The World sucks (or The World is a piece of shit)! It's time to do something!". Right! Put your iridescent green costume on and go blame Apple.

ps: I can bet this guy watched 'V' dozen times this week =)

Posted by jujuju on Jun 29, 2006 twenty past six pm

PD:  no vi nunca "V"

Serious stuff is happening with your rights, for now you have it in black and white on paper, most of us don't.

Fight the b****s!

http://www.prisonplanet.com/  is a handy website for tracking this stuff.

Take care and thanks for the all the monkeys Ron :)

nice to see people are waking up, but dont play into their hands. There are plenty of containment camps for the people who fight. The people have to be civil to defeat the new world order. Beat them at their own game.
And spread the word before the internet is shut down.

Posted by tadams1138 on Jul 17, 2006 twenty five to one am

If you really thought you're rights were being abused now, did you forget Elian and Waco? Or Ruby Ridge (pre-Janet Reno)?  How about ECHELON in the 90s?  The anti-gun laws of areas like Chicago and Washington DC should be creeping you out just as much.  Or do you just have an irrational dislike for Bush?  Am I missing the point?  Usually I laugh like a barel of three-headed monkeys at your jokes, but this one (if it was one) didn't do it for me.

Posted by WDeranged on Jul 17, 2006 quarter to four am

All the those events tie in perfectly with this systematic removal of human rights.

The powers that be know that you cant impose a new (criminal) system on the masses overnight, this thing has been going on behind the scenes long before any wtc bombings or wacos, now its moved into a higher gear everything is bubbling to the surface where its visible.

I kind of feel a fool for not spotting it sooner

Anything that mentions America, George Bush and Immigrants makes me laugh and scratch myself in awkward places.
