Actually it was a lot different from the other 3 films. Go watch 'Last Crusade?, come back and tell me what your thoughts are at that point. I am very disappointed in the film, Harrison did a good job as always, and Sheila Labeouf did a good job as well but the rest of the cast were just there, oh yeah and John Hurt performed nicely as well.
I am sorry for being so extreme but the other three films did not attempt humor in every scene, Indy 4 tried to be too funny in too many scenes, and it was obviously made for children. The originals had humor but the humor was very subtle, Last Crusade having the most but done well. George has changed his focus since the prequel Star Wars films and it shows in Legend of the Crystal Skull. When a series has a particular style and form you do not go and change that or you destroy the balance...which George did with the fourth installment.
I will always love the original 3 films, they are in my collection right beside 'The Young Indiana Jones' series, but this new Indy film is not part of the series as far as I am concerned.
