Good to see Monkey island was big in Germany.
Question: Why wasn't monkey island big in Japan?
They like text popping up over their graphics. They make lots of graphical non-talkie text adventures. They like humour in their games. I heard the story that when you pitched it to the Japanese, they didn't like it, and didn't get the humour. It's hard to believe now, considering the success of games like Phoenix Wright.
