Yet another year slips by and Grumpy Gamer remains 100% April Fools’ joke free.
It kind of feels like there are less and less April Fools’ jokes, probably because the whole world is turning into a April Fools’ joke.
P.S It my not be April 1st when you read this, it’s because I now live in NZ. Earth spinning and all.

Wasn't expecting that reply, I thought you wanted to stay as far away as humanly possible from doing another MI game at this point, but reading the exact opposite made me happy.
Same graphics as Monkey 2 SE.
Same voodoo darkness and scary Le Chuck. The feeling that Monkey 2 gave me as a child/young teen is unmatched.
If I was a millionaire I would assemble the whole team to do that.
Still, I am grateful for the final MI we got in 2022.
Love you, Ron
I'd love to play the original 16 color version some day. Seems like such a missed opportunity when it wasn't included with the Special Edition.
I keep looking at the Lucasfilm Games Facebook page, but it's getting harder and harder to remember why. They're all in on Star Wars these days.
Really??? My impression with the last game was that you did all you wanted with the franchise and moved on.
I tried to come here early but only managed to be almost 18 hours late.
True! April Jokers seem to vanish more and more...
Meanwhile I played Death-by-scrolling which was good fun but couldn't pay up the ferryman yet.
I am glad it has the same hilarious humor MI has and I must say I really love any of your games,
as they all have this hint of post modernism that I love so much.
Playing a game that makes fun of itself as being a computer game deserves my attention, anytime.
But it needs a bit more music to play longer than a few hours, anyways the music and sounddesign is very cool!
Cool you live in NZ I had dreams once to go there one day and find myself a jade green stone. How's the weather?
Strong Bad: "Forget all that mess! I'm yanking April Fools off the Internet and back into the real world! Where it can physically hurt people!"
Anyway, when are you going to make a new Thimbleweed Park? Sometimes I'm wondering what the real Thimbleweed Park 2 would have looked like back in the day, before all of the technological advancements that happened in the last 10 years in gaming.
Hooooo boy do I wish I could get outta here. seems like it could be an idea to get that far away over the next few years at least
I don't own the rights to MI, Disney does. Money isn't the problem.
Ironically, you COULD make a legal Mickey Mouse game instead ;)
No idea. They do what they want to want and don't tell me anything. You probably know more then me.
Mac M1 laptop. I'm moving to Linux but I haven't found a good machine that I can get in NZ. Not looking for suggestions, so don't post any.
Maybe we're not the only ones who dislike it. :D
Next year!
I'm still using Win 10 for my main stuff, but that's going to get too risky very soon. Perhaps if I setup a pihole or some other kind of hardware firewall it will be okay.
But I’d love more point and click adventures from Ron Gilbert. Another Thimbleweed or something new, I don’t care.
I know you said everything’s already been done in adventure games, but honestly I don't care, just make more of the same, we love it.
And I know it’s probably a long shot, but if Tim Schafer was involved too, that would be incredible...
Pretty please with sugar on top?
